DropBox Sign (formerly HelloSign) Breach
Cloud storage services provider Dropbox on Wednesday disclosed that Dropbox Sign (formerly HelloSign) was breached by unidentified threat actors, who accessed emails, usernames, and general account settings associated with all users of the digital signature product. Here are three possible steps to take:
#1 Change Your Password: Change your Dropbox Sign password right away. Do this even if Dropbox says they've secured the accounts - it's extra protection.
#2 Enable Two-Factor Authentication: If 2FA is an option on Dropbox Sign, turn it on. This adds a step beyond just a password for better security.
#3 Monitor Account Activity: Pay close attention to emails about changes or suspicious activity on your Dropbox Sign account. If you see anything strange, change your password and contact their support.
